When an American–or any person in any Nation–studies REAL HISTORY, then you can flush politicians’ words down every toilet in the world. For it is simply a GLOBAL POLITICAL RULE: All politicians LIE in whatever they think their Peoples “want to hear.”

When Ronald Reagan’s campaign ran on the slogan “Let’s Make America Great Again!” in 1980 (a phrase stolen by Donald Trump without quoting the better man who used it before him), they knew that Americans were hurting from high inflation and national stagnation. They knew people were talking about the “good old days.” So they told Americans, “Vote for Reagan and the Good Times will return!” He won by a landslide, better than Trump in 2024.

In historical FACT, the beginnings of America were NOT GREAT, nor were they EVER GREAT. This section will show you that Kings and Queens of Europe paid men to take ships and “claim land” to increase Land and Wealth under their Royal Control. The story of America began with PLUNDER, and all the murders and enslavement required to “take and control the land.” In military terms, that is called “Peace by Pacification.”

WHAT about the indigenous Persons and Families, living in peace, BEFORE the ships arrived? What did the Kings and Queens instruct their land-thieves? Conquer. Punish. Subdue. Possess. Expel. Repel. Resist. In the quotations below, you will see all of those verbs, put right into the legal “charters” or “royal powers” handed to the Royal Agents. All those verbs meant: Murder Anyone Who Resists, and those verbs were used because the Kings and Queens KNEW IN ADVANCE that murder would be required to take the lands BY BLOODY VIOLENCE. These were the “Christians” celebrated by today’s American Southern Baptists and any others who repeat the FALSE NARRATIVE.

The beginnings of European contact with North America had nothing to do with “religious freedom” or an “American Dream.” The beginnings of America were based in a word that sounds SOFT, but which only may be spelled in BLOOD: Colonialism, which also has a necessary synonym: Enslavement. The living human beings, created by the One God, each person valued by God equally according to the teachings of Jesus Christ–the same one claimed by the Kings and Queens with their Legal Agents, the Corporations–actually were nothing more to European Royals than pieces of meat like cattle put to work, driven with royal whips, or else, sent to the slaughterhouse.

Jesus Christ said, “You cannot serve God and Wealth” (Matthew 6:24 and Luke 16:13), which would have made all the European Kings and Queens LAUGH. Everything they did served their Power and Wealth. They gave direct commands to their ships’ captains, that they had total liberty and license to claim ALL LANDS which were “not Christian” or “inhabited by Christians” and to CONTROL OR DESTROY indigenous peoples who resisted foreign rulers taking away their ways of life.

THIS is the real story of America. And every politician who asks for votes and political power to “Make America Great Again!” actually is a Liar and Manipulator of historically ignorant people, one who plans to plunder and enslave all who are fools enough to walk into the trap.

Not one of the Kings and Queens quoted below would have saved the life of ONE innocent person, let alone gone to their hut and eaten their food and slept on their cots. This is the SAME as today’s Americans who hear the siren-call of “Making America Great Again!” yet whose real lives never will be known by the LIARS who will do to them what the Kings and Queens of Europe did to all the indigenous peoples of North America, without any Criminal Accountability for the lies and harms they did.

The Royal Motivation of this royal couple had nothing to do with Jesus Christ and his commands and teachings, but (1) discovery of foreign lands; (2) conquest of inhabitants; (3) punishment of any offenders; and (4) the establishment of a satellite province under royal control. NOTICE the presumption of “authority” to do these things, and the presumption of “condescension and control” of the future victims, which necessarily would involve MURDER of people seeking freedom from the foreigners. Columbus did not land anywhere on what later would be called America, but far north.

“…going by our command, with some vessels and men, to discover and subdue some Islands and Continents in the ocean, and it is hoped that by God’s assistance [as if God will assist land-theft and enslavement], some of the said Islands and Continent in the ocean will be discovered and conquered by your means and conduct…. Our will is, That you, Christopher Columbus, after discovering and conquering the said Islands and Continent in the said ocean, or any of them … shall so discover and conquer …and you and your Lieutenants shall conquer, and freely decide all causes, civil and criminal … as you shall think fit in justice … and that you have power to punish offenders [meaning indigenous who resist conquest]….”

Four years later, not in Castille but in England, the Royal Motivation had nothing to do with Jesus Christ and his commands and teachings, but (1) seek out new countries “unknown to Christians”; (2) claim them by posting royal flags; (3) put under subjection or “subdue” the indigenous peoples; (4) make them vassals of England; (5) gather all the “fruits, profits, gains, and commodities” for return to England.

“… we have given and granted … full and free authority, leave, and power to saile to all parts, countreys, and seas of the East, of the West, and of the North … to seeke out, discouer, and finde whatsoeuer they be, and in what part of the world soeuer they be, which before this time haue bene unknowen to all Christians [as if the land-theft and murder by these “English Christians” will be welcome to the peaceful indigenous] … and haue given them licence to set vp our banners and ensignes in euery village, towne, castle, isle, or maine land of them newly found. Notice that Eighty-Eight (88) years later, it was England’s Throne again that asserted authority and dominion over any “heathen and barbarous lands, countries, and territories not actually possessed of any Christian Prince nor inhabited by Christian People.” There was no desire for war between Christians over “disputed lands,” only the desire to claim “lands not possessed already” to establish a legal claim to defend at any later time. Elizabeth gave liberty and license to (1) discover; (2) have, hold, and occupy; and anticipating indigenous resistance to foreign occupation, (3) “encounter and expulse [meaning expel or expatriate], and to repel and resist … anyone not liked by Ralegh.” Most assuredly, Ralegh would not have liked anyone who did not like his “liberty and license” granted by some foreign queen never seen nor known, far away. 

“… we give and grant free liberty and licence … to discover, search, finde out, view such remote, heathen and barbarous lands, countries, and territories not actually possessed of any Christian Prince, nor inhabited by Christian People [who would be prepared to defend themselves against land-theft, since they would know it was coming]… as to him … shall seem good, and the same to have, holde, occupie and enjoy to him … for ever …. In this, the First Charter of Virginia, now we see King James the First of England–namesake of fundamentalist Christians and their “King James Bible”–use his royal power to dispense corporate permissions to be agents of profiteering in North America. This is the first authorization for Corporations to operate in North America. Notice the legal detail to Latitude and Longitude for corporate operations, enabling and marking off the territories to be claimed in any future legal conflict. Notice the “nod” to spreading the “Christian Religion” and the judgments upon the indigenous Peoples living in the territories: “darkness … miserable ignorance … infidels … savages … needing human Civility and quiet Government.’ The story of land theft by murder and lies begins in 1606. King James will not quote what Jesus said about the work of Satan being Murder from the beginning nor that Satan never could tell the truth, for it was not in his nature, being the Father of the Lie. Read the Gospel of John, chapter eight, verse forty-four (8:44).

This is not found in the Documents of American History reference used elsewhere here, but in the online resource, Encyclopedia Virginia, under its entry, “Virginia’s First Africans.” According to that article, in “late August 1619” there were “20 and odd Negroes or more” from the “English ship White Lion” sold “in exchange for food.” Then, “three or four days later, another English ship, the Treasurer, arrived in Virginia and sold two or three additional Africans.” Later in the article, “[t]he number of Africans in Virginia increased to thirty-two by 1620….” Eight years later, “[i]n 1628, after a shipload of about 100 Angolans was sold in Virginia, the number of Africans in the colony rose dramatically.”

There are fundamentalist Christians who cite the Mayflower Compact as documentary “proof” of the “Christian origins of America.” They cite every reference to God, or to the King as “Defender of the Faith,” as if this traditional window-dressing really means that their venture, or the King, are controlled by the commands and teachings of Jesus Christ, which they are not. The substance of the Mayflower Compact shows the real purpose of the mission: (1) to plant a colony; (2) to covenant into a political group for the purpose of “Ordering and Preservation”; (3) to be bound by Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions, and Officers, within their political entity, for their Common Order and Preservation, or as they state, the “general Good of the Colony.” Jesus Christ and his commands, teachings, and example had nothing to do with the invasions, plundering, murders, and enslavements–all covered over in LIES painted with the red paint of blood called “Freedom” and “Civilization.” Now read the text of the Mayflower Compact.The important phrases are emboldened

“IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Sovereign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, &c. A Dutch Corporation Uses African Slaves to Work Manhattan Island

In 1627, on the 29th of August, the ship Bruynvisch landed on the southern tip of Manhattan Island and brought “only twenty-two of the healthiest Blacks and what else they could use.” In the document to follow, we read a portion of the Corporation’s official instructions to its local agents working on Manhattan Island (today’s New York City, Manhattan). The Corporation, the Dutch West India Company, instructs its agents [patroons] that it will provide more African Slave Labor, if needed. The Capital Roman Numerals are the ITEM NUMBERS in the letter. NOTE that–as with today–there are “no taxes” to be paid by these corporate agents, as if they were a specially privileged group.

“XVIII. The Company promises the colonists of the Patroons that they shall be free from customs, taxes, excise, imposts or any other contributions for the space of ten years; and after the expiration of the said ten years, at the highest, such customs as the goods pay here for the present…. [No taxes of any kinds for ten years, and after that, no taxes higher than those in effect ten years before, when this was issued.]<
“XX. From all judgments given by the Courts of the Patroons for upwards of fifty guilders, there may be an appeal to the Company’s Commander and Council in New Netherland. [This means that if the secular court issued a fine, and the Company personnel did not like it, they could appeal to the Company to override the fine.] “XXX. The Company will use their endeavors to supply the colonists with as many Blacks as they conveniently can, on the conditions hereafter to be made, in such manner, however, that they shall not be bound to do it for a longer time than they shall think proper.”  [The supply chain of Black slaves will continue, “as many as convenient,” but the Company refused to be held forever to that “generous” offer.]

I have skipped over a long period of Corporate abuses and bloodshed on average and poor workers. This episode in American history shows how Corporations use government to murder innocent people who dare to protest inhumane work for nearly no wages. This documentary quotation does not appear in the Documents of American History reference, but in an important and now-rare collection, American Violence: a Documentary History by Richard Hofstadtler and Michael Wallace (Alfred A. Knopf: NY, 1970), Part II, “Economic Violence,” Section, “Ludlow, 1913-1914,” pp. 160-164.

This centuries-long battle in history, between Corporations and Human Beings, and wherein Corporations obtained unequal treatment with no taxes and other financial “incentives” from Government, this battle came finally to an END in the year 2010. It was in that year that I note with the bitterest legal cynicism that the U.S. Supreme Court–with a majority of Republican, pro-Corporation so-called “justices”–would so be under the control of Corporations, and servile to their worst purposes against the U.S. Constitution which begins, WE THE PEOPLE, that in the case, Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the Court majority would rule, unbelievably, cynically, daringly that Corporations were People, and Money was Speech. Although slaves to corporate power, like the U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, claimed that the Citizens United ruling was a “victory for the First Amendment,” the year 2010 marked the END OF THE U.S. CONSTITUTION BEING READ FOR WHAT IT SAID, RATIFIED BY REAL HUMAN BEINGS, WHO WERE CITIZENS AND TAXPAYERS.

Now look back to the year, 1914, when you can see how one Corporation’s human beings in charge commanded a Governor, who sent in troops, then sent in paid murderers, to machine-gun and burn to death men, women, and children, who had begged for a governor’s mediated conference, denied by the human beings controlling that Corporation determined to kill them for begging for better pay.  The text was written by George P. West, for the United States Commission on Industrial Relations’ investigation into the Ludlow Massacre, found in the Report on the Colorado Strike (1915), pp. 101-138:

“…[T]welve hundred men, women and children remained at the Ludlow Tent Colony and Linderfelt’s immediate force consisted of not more than thirty-five men, the militiamen were equipped with machine guns and high-powered repeating rifles and could count on speedy reinforcement by the members of Troop “A,” which numbered about one hundred. The Ludlow Colony had been repeatedly searched during the preceding weeks for arms and ammunition, and Major Boughton’s testimony before this Commission indicates that Linderfelt believed the strikers to be unarmed….

“On April 20th militiamen destroyed the Ludlow Tent Colony, killing five men and one boy with rifle and machine gun fire and firing the tents with a torch. Eleven children and two women of the colony who had taken refuge in a hole under one of the tents were burned to death or suffocated after the tents had been fired. During the firing of the tents the militiamen became an uncontrolled mob and looted the tents of everything that appealed to their fancy or cupidity. Hundreds of women and children were driven terror stricken into the hills or to shelter at near-by ranch houses. Others huddled for twelve hours in puts underneath their tents or in other places of shelter, while bullets from rifles and machine guns whistled overhead and kept them in constant terror. The militiamen lost one man. He was shot through the neck nearly in the attack.

“Three of the strikers killed at Ludlow were shot while under the guard of armed militiamen who had taken them prisoners. They included Louis Tikas, a leader of the Greek strikers, a man of high intelligence who had done his utmost that morning to maintain peace and prevent the attack and who had remained in or near the tent colony throughout the day to look after the women and children. Tikas was first seriously or mortally wounded by a blow on the head from the stock of a Springfield rifle in the hands of Lieutenant K.E. Linderfelt of the Colorado National Guard, and then shot three times in the back by militiamen and mine guards.

“The assassination of Tikas and the death of thirteen women and children at Ludlow precipitated an armed and open rebellion against the authority of the State as represented by the miltia. This rebellion constituted perhaps one of the nearest approaches to civil war and revolution ever known in this country in connection with an industrial conflict. Strikers in the Trinidad and Walsenburg Districts of Southern Colorado, and in the Canyon City and Louisville Districts, armed themselvese and swarmed over the hills, bent on avenging the death of their Ludlow comrades….

“Mine buildings were burned by the strikers at the Southwestern, Hastings, Delagua, Green Canyon, Royal and Broadhead mines. On Saturday strikers attacked the Chandler mine near Canyon City, on the other side of a range of foot hills and many miles from any point where disorder had previously occurred. The mine was captured Sunday afternoon and some of the buildings were burned. On Monday night strikers attacked the Hecla mine at Louisville, northwest of Denver, and about 250 miles north of Trinidad. They also surrounded the Vulcan mine at Lafayette, a camp near Louisville in the northern field…. On Wednesday morning, or late in the preceding night, a party of about 200 armed strikers left the strikers’ military colony near Trinidad and marched over the hills to Forbes, a mining camp which lies at the bottom of a canyon surrounded by steep hills. Most of the party were Greeks. Earlier in the strike, before the visit of the Congressional Committee, the strikers’ tent colony at Forbes, situated on ground leased by them, had been twice destroyed by militiamen and mine guards, and on one occasion it had been swept by machine gun fire and a striker killed  and a boy shot nine times through the legs. Bent on revenge for this earlier attack and for the killings at Ludlow, the strikers took up positions on the hills surrounding the mine buildings, and at daybreak poured a deadly fire into the camp. Nine mine guards and strikebreakers were shot to death and one striker was killed. The strikers fired the nine buildings, including a barn in which were thirty mules, and with withdrew to their camp near Trinidad.

Twenty-four hours later the federal troops arrived and all fighting ceases. During the ten days of fighting at least fifty persons had lost their lives, including the twenty-one killed at Ludlow.”
